About Ron PictureAbout Me

My creative passion is digital media!  Exploring, teaching and developing it. Currently I am focusing on a variety of subjects including video editing, motion graphics, HTML 5, JQuery, and Actionscript/AIR for game development.

I earned my BA at The Evergreen State College in 1991 and a Master of Education from the University of Washington in 2005. While at Evergreen I studied film, computers, and multimedia. After graduating from Evergreen I operated my own business for several years teaching puppet and clay animation. The emphasis of my Masters degree was on instructional design and interactive media as it relates to education. For my thesis project I developed an educational animated kiosk for the Museum of Radio and Electricity in Bellingham, Wa. It has been on display for over six years from 2005-2011. Recently I have been working with Louise Amandes to produce several independent films. We directed Making Noise (2010), a documentary about avant-garde music, and Estate of Mine (2011), a short fiction film. Both films have been accepted to film festivals (Northwest Projections, The Seattle True Independent Festival, and the Black Rock Film Festival).

Check out my Vitae (in pdf format) for a recent list of classes I have taught and presentations I have made.
