The following images of the Spawns of Insomnia were taken by Unshelved cartoonist Bill Barnes. They are between 40-100k each so if you are on a slower modem then this page will take a few minutes to download.

Phil Foglio sometime around 6:00 AM. The event started at 5:00 PM the previous evening so he had been drawing for 11 hours straight by this time. In my observation Phil had not left his desk the entire 24 hours. I suppose he must have...but I never noticed if he was gone.
Ellen Exacto at work. According to her this was the first time she had created a comic book using a brush to draw with. She gets extra points for this accomplishment.

Bill Barnes pictured early in the event as he starts the scripting process. Wide awake and ready to go...

A good shot of the west side of the market. Seven cartoonists at work probably in the early morning (you can tell in part by the lighting and also the number of pop cans).

James Greer drawing at a very large page size. He showed up because of bet by a coworker. If he could actually do it then he was supposed to receive ten bucks. He says that he only finished 6 pages but he did stay all 24 hours so I'm not sure who won the bet.

Dan McConnell who actually finished all 24 pages ahead of schedule. Dan drove over from central Washington to partake in the event (what is that..120 miles or so?). Wisely he stayed the night in Seattle before heading back home.
Desert Peach creator Donna Barr at work. And...well...we'll let her comic speak for her impression of the event.

Congratulations Bill Morse for being one of the nine to finish. Bill is also responsible for the great poster design!

J Cartoonists Northwest President, and Last Kiss creator, John Lustig at the computer. In this picture he could be writing his 24 comic book, assisting any one of the 26 Spawn participants, or answering questions from the hundreds of people who were passing through the Broadway Market in Seattle that weekend.
